Financial Controller
(based in 6th October, Egypt)

Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting

• Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations
  Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives and / or new service offerings
• Manage financial planning and analysis of the company
• Supervise creation of reports, software implementation and tools for budgeting and forecasting
• Participate in weekly meetings with the leadership Team
• Communicate, engage and interact with the Shareholders, Board of Directors and the leadership team of the company
• Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models
• Define & implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by the leadership team
  Any other responsibility as given by the corporate office and leadership team

Accounting, General Ledger, Administration and Operations

• Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases and financial software. Provide regular maintenance and backup of all accounting systems and supervise company financial staff
• Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
• Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for company’s shareholders and board of directors
• Oversee the preparation and communication of periodic financial statements
• Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all statutory & regulatory filings
  Work with various departments to ensure appropriate legal compliance
• Oversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies
• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and cost allocation
• Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
• Hire, develop and manage managers and staff
  Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; manage preparation and support of all internal & external audits
• Coordinate and strategize methods used to attain corporate goals
• Coordinate & supervise working with shared service centre based outside the country
• Active involvement in implementation of SAP finance workstreams

Financial Management

• Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability
• Maintain outstanding strategic alliances with vendors and business partners
• Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the organization’s plans and operating budgets
• Oversee daily cash management and AP Department, approve large payables, sign checks and authorize large wires
• Supervise Accounts Receivable management and provide guidance relating to the collection process
• Develop financial strategies

Tax & legal compliance

• Oversee tax review and finalizing for corporate tax, employee tax, VAT, customs and all other types of direct & indirect taxes
• Planning, optimization & restructuring
• Supervising & finalizing transfer pricing reports
• Review & compliances of Board of Investment (BOI)
• Compliance of all tax and legal matters of the entities
• Develop tax strategies

Financial Controller (FC) – Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA or equivalent preferred
• 5 years minimum experience at same or similar position in a large (US$100 million+) multinational company
• 15+ years of total accounting or finance experience with manufacturing company
• Experience of working in petrochemical industry will be preferred
• Outstanding knowledge and understanding of IFRS / local GAPP
• Background coordinating with IT staff to manage and / or upgrade accounting system. Systems implementation experience strongly preferred.
• “Hands On” ERP Systems Experience – SAP Required
• Experience of Hyperion consolidation software shall be preferred
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
• Very good command on Microsoft excel & PowerPoint
• Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence – ability to motivate staff
• Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues
